Description of the item We were offered this barometer privately and although more 'modern' than we normally deal with, we chose to buy it as it represent exceptional value. It is a faithful copy and looks very well on the wall. |

| Information about the maker Onorato Comitti established his workshops in London as a maker of barometers and related instruments in 1845. Comitti remains a family business. Today, the company is run by the grandsons of George Barker who married Louisa Comitti and joined the business in the 1890s. Comitti's aspiration is to recreate the extraordinary ingenuity and craftsmanship of the most eminent English makers.

Dimensions & Specification Reproduction Sheraton door stick barometer, circa 1810. A copy of an original made by Comitti in 1860. Mahogany case with feathered veneer inlaid with satinwood stringing. Silver plated dial with vernier and thermometer. Traditional mercury column, Silver plated dial calibrated in inches with vernier, Spirit thermometer with C & F scale, Glazed door and lacquered brass furniture

| Condition Report In mint condition. The previous owners had been told the barometer dated to c1920 but we believe it is much more modern, c1970. It is in perfect condition. The colour is quite light and well captured in the photos. |
