Description of the item Lovely clock in a very sought after size. A true 'miniature' Vienna in excellent order, fully prepared for sale. Of either German or American manufacture (see later) c1910. Weekly wind, striking the hours and half hours on a gong. |

 |
| Information about the maker The movement is unsigned which is unusual. The clock appears European (so German made) but the movement has many American features (open springs, counter wind trains). The confusion is actually not that surprising, as in the early 20th C many of the German clock making businesses merged with, or were acquired by, their American competitiors. As all the components are original to each other, it is probably made in Germany with an American made (or at least designed) movement. |
