Description of the item This is a top quality model from one of the top quality makers. Lenzkirch clocks are very sought after and their movements are exceptionally well made and reliable. This clock has a fantastic highly polished walnut case and is in exceptional condition.
Dimensions & Specification The going-barrel movement runs for 8 days. It strikes (ting-tang) each quarter hour on 2 heavy gongs. It has a brass dial with a silvered chapter ring. The hands are also brass. Dimensions: 40.5cm tall, 30cm max width, 19cm deep.
Information about the maker The movement is marked with the "1 Million" mark and the number 156624. Using the published tables (which claim to identify the serial numbers on Lenzkirch movements to production dates) we can date this clock to 1898/99.
Condition Report About as good as you'll find. The case is really exceptional and retains its original finish. The brass and silvered dial is nice and bright. The movement has been fully overhauled in our workshop.
