Description of the item
A good set of 6 single and 1 carver chairs from the William IV Period (c1840). In distressed condition but ripe for renovation to your own specification.

Condition Report
All the chairs are solid, but require attention to the finish and upholstery. The frames are rather orange in colour and perhaps should be darkened. They have significant areas of rubbing (see detail photo) which could be addressed when refinishing. The seats retain their original frames and traditional filling but need complete overhaul.
Cost of Restoration
To restore the seats using traditional techniques and materials would cost in the order of £60 for a good quality job. Cheaper alternatives are available. Refinishing the mahogany frames would have to be discussed.
