| Information about the maker We can't find any reference to a WF Watts in Birmingham, although that exact name appears in Tenbury in Worcestershire in 1874 - which is the approx age of manufacture. Tenbury is only 34 miles from the centre of Birmingham...perhaps less from Worcester St.

| Condition Report This clock has such a characterful dial we were reluctant to restore it, so it is being sold in good working order, complete and original, but not restored. The dial's 'ground' is original and very crazed with a few chips as shown, but stable. The case is in excellent condition - again full of character. We've just given it a good wax. The movement is tarnished but free from dirt and excessive wear. It runs very well and has been oiled. Please consult the 3 large photos to get an accurate impression. |
