Information about the maker
The clock's movement is signed for Astral who were an English company based in the Midlands. They have a good reputation for continuing to manufacture good quality clocks with good quality materials, ven when most of their competitors were cuttig corners. We estimate the clock to date to around c1910.

| Condition Report
The clock has come in a part exchange and is in 'as arrived' condition. Running well, the movement looks to have been recently cleaned. The larger photos show a couple of areas needing pointing out: The case has a little bit of damage to the mahogany veneer on the domed top - this virtually always occurs where veneer is used. That section also has a couple of small nibbles. The back door surround as a chip and the silk lining in the back door is perished. Don't be put off by this description, the clock is in excellent conditon for its age and resents very well in deed |

Cost of Restoration
Happy to discuss by email / phone if you'd like anything done, but I'd recommend the clock is taken away and enjoyed 'as-is'
