Description of the item
A really impressive looking large wall clock with the benefits of a modern Quartz movement. We tracked-down this model (no longer made) to study how it was made. Now we understand, it is available for sale. We are sometimes asked to put mechanical clocks (which need winding weekly) in very hard to reach places. This is ideal for that use. It is the best copy we've seen and should run accurately for over a year on a fresh battery. |

| Information about the maker
Newgate sell clocks via their own website and John Lewis. They have dropped this model (with its near full depth of 12.2cm) in favour of more shallow versions which are easily recognisable as reproductions. I'd guess this was an expensive model to produce. |

Dimensions & Specification
Spun and pressed mild steel case. Painted black, as per the ebonised wooden cases of the original. The dial is printed to a high standard, showing the wear one would expect on an original, and even the winding square below the hands. The brass coloured bezel (may be steel or brass underneath) is fixed as it doesn't need to open. The overall diameter is approx 50.2cm diameter, 12.2cm deep. |

This is a couple of years ol and has a few small rubs, but nothing that would be noticeable in use. The quartz movements are interchangeable for a couple of £ should any problems occur. |
