| Information about the maker
Edwin Banfield's 'Barometer Makers & Retailers 1600-1900' lists a C Realini in Manchester from 1810-30. This is slighty earlier than would have been expected for this design of barometer which we would estimate to 1840. He also lists a Charles Realini in nearby Preston from 1810-50, perhaps the same man.

Condition Report
This barometer was in very good condition when we bought and required very little restoration to restore it to its former glory. Fully prepared, ready to hang and enjoy.
Above the dial is a convex mirror, which we have to blank-out in the photographs, otherwise you just see me taking the photograph. This barometer has an original mirror with a few signs of age. |
