Description of the item This one has sold but we have a similar 8" dial plinth mounted clock in restoration.
If you are looking for a top quality yet small wall clock, this has to be a possibility. This example by a famous maker (see below) has an 8" dial with an 8-day fusee timepiece movement (with 5 spoke wheel work). The case is veneered with flame mahogany. Cast brass bezel. |

| Information about the maker Edward White was a well known maker having worked for a number of years with the famous Edward Dent. He is known to have been working at 20, Cockspur Street from 1861 until 1875. He won various prize medals including one "for great taste and excellence in workmanship". We estimate this clock was made approx 1870.

| Condition Report In excellent condition and ready for retail. The case has been refinished at some stage so has a good finish and excellent colour. The dial has been beautifully restored, retaining some character. Bezel, hands and pendulum are original. The movement has been overhauled.
