| Information about the maker Seth Thomas are probably the most famous North American clock maker. They didn't supply many clocks to the British railway companies so this is of particular interest. Most railway clocks are fakes. Ian Lyman's book is the authorative guide and illustrates this clock in detail. We estimate this clock was made approx 1890.

| Condition Report The mahogany has great colour and finish. It is in excellent condition. The painted 8" iron dial retains the original ground and blackwork (and red 24 hour work). The large shadow is me (!) taking the photo. The movement is running fine and to time. It looks to have been cleaned a few years ago. |
