Description of the item
An attractive fusee wall clock made by the sought after Elliott family (see below). Very clean mahogany frame with spun brass bezel. Attractive dial. Excellent quality chain-driven fusee movement which requires winding one a week.

Information about the maker
James Jones Elliott was founded the famous English clock making dynasty generally referred to as 'Elliott'. JJ Elliott had a sucessful business at the end of the C19th. After his death in 1905, the company was sold several times with the name and logo perhaps still used. James Jones Elliott's son Frank Westcombe went on to make the RAF clocks and was the last of the volume British Clockmakers.
Dimensions & Specification
12" Painted dial. Spun brass bezel with clip-in silvered sight ring. Heavy quality chain fusee movement. 4-piece mahogany surround with solid mahogany back-box. Side door and locking bottom door.

The overall diameter is approx 16"cm, The case depth is approx 6" (to be verified)

Condition Report
In super condition. The clock had survived in extraordinary condition and I assume it had spent most of its life in storgae. The dial has been repainted to a high standard as it had suffered from the usual corrosion around the dial feet. Very clean clock, well represented by the larger photos (follow the link above).
