Description of the item An attractive early London clock with the much sought after convex dial and glass. 12" painted dial with an obviously early 8-day fusee movement (knopped pillars, stepped base and shoulders). Signed with the makers name. The case is mahogany, of excellent patination. The clock is fully restored and ready to enjoy. |

| Information about the maker The grandly named 'Santiago James Moore French' was a Clockmaker, watchmaker, chronometer maker and retailer. He became 'Free' in the Clockmakers' Company in 1810. He made this clock whilst at 15 Sweetings Alley, Royal Exchange, London, where he was from 1808-1838. |
