Description of the item
An nice example of these popular German-made wall clocks made c1920. This model has an eight-day (weekly wind) movement that strikes on a gong (lovely tone). The case has been professionally restored and the movement has been fully serviced (normal cost £190). This clock is ready to be hung on your wall and enjoyed.

Information about the maker
The movement is marked with the crossed arrows indicating the maker was The Hamburg American Clock Company. 'HAC' were formed in 1874 by Paul Landenberger & Philip Lang, who had previously worked for Junghans (with whom they eventually merged in 1930)
Dimensions & Specification
The 8-day (weekly-wind) closed spring movement of usual HAC quality. (Steel plates, countwheel striking). Solid Oak carved case. Counts the hours on a good quality gong (very good tone) and strikes a single blow on the half-hour. Original wooden rod / brass bob pendulum. Replaced off white painted type dial with roman numerals.

The overall height is 800mm tall, 340mm wide and 165mm deep.

Condition Report
The clock has been fully restored and is ready for retail sale. The case has been refinished to a high standard. All the main components are original to the clock. The movement has been overhauled cleaned & serviced prior to sale.
The case is somewhat darker than captured in the photos.
