Description of the item An nice example of these popular American made wall clocks made c1895. This model has an eight-day (weekly wind) movement that strikes on a bell. They have a mirror behind the pendulum (which we've had to obscure during the photography). Professionally restored to a good standard, this clock is ready to be hung on your wall and enjoyed. |

| Information about the maker Elias Ingraham started in business in 1860. He died in 1855 and the business was taken over by his son Edward. Their factory was based in Bristol Connecticut (USA). |

Dimensions & Specification The 8-day (weekly-wind) open spring movement of usual Ingraham quality. (Steel plates, countwheel striking). The movement is stamped 12 - 97 which may be the date of manufacture (1897). Walnut case, partly carved, with areas of veneered trim. Counts the hours on a bell (good sound) and strikes a single blow on the half-hour. Original high quality faux mercury pendulum. Replaced cream painted type dial with roman numerals, surrounded by fret cut panel showing amber coloured material behind.
The overall height is 885mm tall, 392mm wide and 170mm deep. |

| Condition Report The clock has been fully restored and is ready for retail sale. The case has been refinished to a high standard. All the main components are original to the clock. Some of the finials may be replacements but they have been well chosen. The movement has been very recently cleaned so has just been checked and oiled. |
