Description of the item Interesting & mainly original chain-driven fusee clock, signed London County Coucil. Beech (?) case stained to a dark mahogany colour with a narrow surround. 8-day chain-driven fusee movement. The movement is signed "J C Jennens & Son London SBL". Original hands. The rear of the dial is written "3634 Daniel Street". |

| Information about the maker London County Council existed from 1889 to 1965. Joseph Jennens is listed in London as 1881. There is an earlier entry for John Creed Jennens in Clerkenwell (London) from 1861-75). We estimate this clock was made c1910 by later generations of this 'dynasty'.
