Description of the item
Interesting & mainly original chain-driven fusee clock, signed London County Coucil. Beech (?) case stained to a dark mahogany colour with a narrow surround. 8-day chain-driven fusee movement. The movement is signed "J C Jennens & Son London SBL". Original hands. The rear of the dial is written "3634 Daniel Street". |

London County Council existed from 1889 to 1965.
Joseph Jennens is listed in London as 1881. There is an earlier entry for John Creed Jennens in Clerkenwell (London) from 1861-75). We estimate this clock was made c1910 by later generations of this 'dynasty'.
