Information about the maker

According to the Directory of Furniture Makers, Thomas Lund, portable desk manufacturer, cutler and dressing case maker, was at 56 and 57 Cornhill, London from 1819 to 1839. A William Lund moved to premises in Fleet Street around 1835. We estimated this caddy to c1850 but this information may suggest it is earlier, before 1840.
