Description of the item
This is an unrestored but totally original small circular dial wall clock signed C Chambers of Colchester. Mahogany frame with hinged back-box. Original single train 8-day going-barrel (non fusee) movement by Astral. It appears this clock stood most of its life in a cycle factory and comes complete with a letter to this effect. (Update; dial now professionally restored)

Information about the maker
Astral were well known English clockmakers. Chambers at Colchester would probably have been the retailer. (We have just found a record of G. Chambers and Sons of Colchester in an online directory of clockmakers & retailers). We estimate this clock was made approx 1910.

Dimensions & Specification
