Description of the item Clock is now almost complete. Photos show the clock in its unrestored state. This is an totally original small circular dial wall clock signed C Chambers of Colchester. Mahogany frame with hinged back-box. Original single train 8-day going-barrel (non fusee) movement by Astral. It appears this clock stood most of its life in a cycle factory in Marks Tey and comes complete with a letter to this effect. |

 |
| Information about the maker Astral were well known English clockmakers. Chambers at Colchester would probably have been the retailer. (We have just found a record of G. Chambers and Sons of Colchester in an online directory of clockmakers & retailers). We estimate this clock was made approx 1910.
