Description of the item
A very fine Victorian 5-dial barometer of very attractive form. Very good mahogany veneers and 'double' (boxwood & ebony) stringing. With a polished brass finial to the swan-neck pediment. Fully restored to a very high standard of finish. 'Level' showing the maker's name. Hygrometer.

Information about the maker
There are several entries for Vannini in Sheffield. Most likely they are related or even the same maker. There is an Anthony Vannini in 7 Orange St from 1830-50 and an A Vannini in 25 Spring St, frm 1840-65.


Condition Report
The barometer has been professionally restored to an extremley good, 'as-new' condition.
The tube has been cleaned and refilled with fresh mercury.
